Blue Bass Drum – Strings of Light

This is our 12th full length release.  In keeping with the Quintet format, this is the latest sonic creation by Blue Bass Drum. After two releases using the EWI as the fifth instrument in the quintet, this release uses a violin in that place. Writing for the violin creates it’s own challenges, but also some beautiful opportunities. The inspiration for the change came from prog bands of the 70’s and 80’s that employed violinists like Robbie Steinhardt, Eddie Jobson, Jean-Luc Ponty, Jerry Goodman, Allen Sloan, M.D., etc.  Release date 03/17/2021
